The Hemicycle at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg is now equipped with a TAIDEN voting system supplied by Media Vision. The project has required extensive hardware and software customization to ensure voting confidentiality and to enable implementation of the voting process according to the unique requirements in force at this European Institution.
For hardware customization, the voting units were dimensioned to fit in the existing cutouts made for the equipment previously in place. In addition, the voting buttons have been positioned in recess; It is not possible for a delegate to spy on another one’s vote.
Software customization has required substantial involvement form TAIDEN’s software engineers to enable seamless communication between the voting software and the Client’s database including delegate lists, voting rights or voting schedule. Another software adjustment enables delegates to use their own facility access badges to sign into the system and register their votes.
Following this successful installation, the Council of Europe has requested the use of TAIDEN interpretation systems for the Press Center.
