Technology solutions provider CDW Canada recently announced the launch of its third annual Teaching with Technology Story Contest and Sweepstakes, which gives education providers the chance to enhance their institutions through cutting-edge classroom technology.
The three-tiered contest invites educators and administrators to compete for technology bundles by either submitting a 200- to 500-word story describing how technology affects the classroom, by submitting a technology story via Twitter or by entering an open sweepstakes via email or postal mail.
With a total value of more than $20,000, entrants stand to win an array of technological prizes, including a desktop or laptop computer, a printer or a classroom projector, among items.
"Educating students is a process that requires dedication from those in all levels of education, from the classroom, where committed teachers and administrators fill young minds with knowledge, to the school boards that provide the technology and infrastructure policies for imparting that knowledge," said CDW Canada general manager Mary Ann Yule.
Educators have found implementing new technology, such as a computer, interactive whiteboard and HDMI projector, can enhance the learning experience in the classroom and provide students with valuable resources.
Last year, CDW Canada awarded technology prizes to 13 teachers and educational administrators.
