Telemetrics Features New Camera Robotics Systems At NAB 2009.

Las Vegas, NV (April 20, 2009) – Telemetrics Inc., the industry leader in camera robotics and control systems, is demonstrating the latest additions to the company’s industry renowned line of camera control systems here at NAB 2009. New additions to the company’s extensive line-up of products for 2009 include the Televator® EP-S3 Weatherproof Elevating Pedestal, as well as system enhancements to the company’s TeleGlide Camera Trolley System, HD Fiber Link, Remote Control Panels, and Legislative System Software. Telemetrics is also featuring camera control systems recently deployed by Major League Baseball (MLB), the North Penn School District and Princeton University’s Broadcast Center.
“The needs of the broadcast and production industries continue to evolve at a rapid pace as more facilities move towards remotely operated systems running on networked infrastructure,” said Anthony Cuomo, Vice President and General Manager, Telemetrics, Inc.  “In addition to the added versatility these systems provide, the ability for a single operator to control multiple remote cameras from a centralized location provides a very cost-effective solution for a wide variety of applications.”
Telemetrics has added further depth and height to its successful Televator® product line with the recent release of the EP-S3 Weatherproof Elevating Pedestal.  The remotely controlled motorized column quickly elevates from 4 to 12 feet at maximum rate of 1.8 ft/sec with a maximum payload of 60 pounds to deliver unique POV shots. The unit is ideal for a variety of applications, both outdoors and in studios, and is fully compatible with Telemetrics Camera Control Software.
Telemetrics’ TeleGlide Camera Trolley System has been enhanced with a high speed option that allows the unit to accelerate at 9.8 ft/sec with a max speed of 23.3 ft/sec. The unit’s extremely fast operation makes it ideal for a variety of applications including live sports such as swimming and tennis. TeleGlide consists of a single or dual trolley for optimal load stabilization and is fully servo controlled for smooth operation with location feedback for preset positioning and motion control. TeleGlide’s track can also be easily cut and curved to customer specifications, and is fabricated from lightweight aluminum for easy mounting on the ceiling, wall or floor.
Telemetrics’ leading HD Fiber Link is also now compatible with Panasonic’s
AG-HPX500 and AG-HPX300 high definition broadcast cameras. HD Fiber Link provides a convenient and cost-effective means of transmitting true HD/SD SDI video over long distances from any camera across a single-mode fiber optic cable which runs alongside the main coax cable to Telemetrics’ base station. The system consists of Telemetrics’ Camera Adapter Option (55C-CA-HDFL) and an HD Fiber Link Base Station (HDFL-BS).
The company’s Remote Control Panels (RCP) are also now compatible with Panasonic’s line of broadcast pan/tilt heads as well as the company’s AWE-HE100 PTZ camera and Canon’s BU-45 PTZ camera. The RCP units feature a user-intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) with a joystick for camera pan, tilt, zoom, focus, iris and master pedestal control. A special assignable knob is used to control the GUI CCU functions which emulate the camera manufacturer’s setup panel.
Additionally, Telemetrics is demonstrating enhancements to its popular Legislative Software System. The software features a customized touch screen map interface of the legislative chamber for easy and accurate camera control. It’s capable of automating up to 8 cameras per room with audio queue and 8000 presets. Additional features include; interface with third party video switchers and character generators for multiple shots with on-screen identification; auto/manual control of preview/program bus and key transitions; control over multiple locations and rooms; and so much more. 
Telemetrics is also showcasing innovative camera control systems presently deployed by Major League Baseball, the North Penn School District and Princeton University’s Broadcast Center. “These recently installed systems are further testimony to Telemetrics’ proven ability to respond to the industry’s specific needs with innovative and cost-efficient camera control systems,” said Mr. Cuomo.
